SDC: Student Design Competition

What is the Student Design Competition & Prizes

The ASME Student Design Competition provides a platform for ASME Student Members to present their solutions to a range of design problems - from everyday household tasks to groundbreaking space exploration. Each team is required to design, construct and operate a prototype meeting the requirements of an annually determined problem statement.

Prizes

• 1st place - $500.00
• 2nd place - $300.00 
• 3rd place - $150.00
• WINNERS will also receive an ASME Digital Badge (learn more about digital badges)

AY'24-'25 ASME SDC Rules - COMING SOON!

AY'24-'25 rules NOT YET POSTED and are coming soon. 

SDC will be held at in-person EFx events.  Not all EFx events will have every competition available. Check that SDC is available at that event before registering.  EFx events will be posted as they are confirmed.
